11. AI Stations and Demonstrations
11.1 Interactive AI Tools
At age:AI events, you may interact with AI tools and demonstrations. When using these tools:
- Avoid sharing personal, sensitive, or confidential information
- Understand that AI-generated content may be inaccurate or unreliable
- Be aware that some tools may process or store your inputs
11.2 Third-Party AI Services
AI stations may use third-party services (e.g., OpenAI, Google, Anthropic). These services have their own privacy policies and terms of service.
12. The age:AI App and the Embrace Portal
12.1 What the App Is
The age:AI app on Google Play (application id ai.mindmodel.ageai) is a Trusted Web Activity. It opens on public age:AI content and holds the members' Embrace Portal as a section inside it, and both are served from embrace.ageai.io. The app displays that website rather than holding its own copy of anything, so what the app collects is what that website collects. This section describes both, and it is narrower than the rest of this policy: the app does not load the ageai.io pages covered by sections 2 and 4.
12.2 The Email Address You Enter
The portal is limited to age:AI attendees and members, so it asks for your email address at the gate. We collect that address. We do not keep it.
- The address reaches us over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS)
- It is converted immediately to a salted SHA-256 hash, and only that hash is written to our database
- The address itself is never stored, never written to our logs, and never returned in any response
- A hash cannot be turned back into an address, so our records cannot tell us who you are
To decide whether to admit you, we check the address against our own access list and, if it is not there, against your registration on Luma, the platform that runs our event ticketing (see section 4.1). That check shares your email address with Luma, so Luma can answer whether you hold a ticket or attended one of our events before. Luma receives the address itself, not the hash, and handles it under its own privacy policy. We share it with nobody else: it is not sold, not disclosed to advertisers or data brokers, and never used to build a profile of you or to track you across apps or websites.
12.3 Staying Signed In
Once the gate admits you, we set one session cookie so you are not asked again on every page. It carries the hash described above, an expiry date, and a signature proving we issued it. It carries no address and no name. The cookie is HttpOnly (no script can read it), Secure (it never travels over an unencrypted connection) and SameSite=Strict (no other site can use it), and it expires 30 days after it is issued.
12.4 The age:AI Temp Check
The public vote at vote.ageai.io never ties your answers to you, and it does not store your IP address. Your answers are kept against a random identifier your own browser generates for itself, which exists only so you can return and change your answer rather than adding a second one.
The raffle entry is optional. Before the questions, the vote offers a raffle: you may type a full name or an email address so we can reach you if you win, or vote without entering. What you type is used only to run the raffle and deliver the prize. It is stored separately from your answers, with the date you entered and nothing that links it to them, so it cannot be used to see what you answered. It is never shown with your answers, never shared with anyone else, not used to send you anything else, and it is deleted once the full anonymized report on the vote is complete. If you win, we will contact you, and we will ask before naming you in any announcement.
Results by email are optional too. At the end of the vote you may ask for the full results: tick the box and, if you did not enter the raffle, type a name or an email address. What you type is used once, to send you the full results after the event; the email will say who sent it and how to stop further mail. It is stored separately from your answers, with the date you asked and nothing that links it to them, it is never shared with anyone else, and it is deleted once the full anonymized report on the vote is complete.
That identifier is held in your browser's storage and in a cookie named ageai_vote_ followed by the name of the Temp Check. The cookie carries the random identifier and nothing else: no address, no name, and nothing derived from you. It is set by the page in your own browser, it is Secure and SameSite=Lax, and it lasts up to 400 days so that clearing your browser storage does not lose your answers. You can refuse or delete it and still vote; only the ability to recognise your earlier answers is lost. If you add a comment in your own words, it is stored with your answer and is never displayed to the room or named on any screen, but please avoid putting personal details in it.
12.5 No Analytics and No Advertising ID
The Embrace Portal that the app displays runs no analytics and loads no third-party scripts: no Google Analytics, no Microsoft Clarity, and no tag manager. The app collects no advertising identifier and is not used for advertising, and neither the app nor the portal shares data with third parties for advertising or analytics purposes. This differs from ageai.io itself, which does use analytics as described in sections 2.3 and 4.1; the app does not display those pages.
We do apply a rate limit that protects the gate and the vote from automated abuse. It counts requests against a salted hash of the requesting IP address rather than the address itself, and those counters delete themselves automatically within about twenty minutes.
12.6 Your Choices in the App
You can sign out at any time, which clears the session cookie, and you can uninstall the app. Because we hold only a hash and not your address, a deletion request is handled by removing the matching entry from the access list described above. Contact us as set out in section 14 and we will remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on our website.
